HERE IS MY PLAN: Help the Helpers
“At the end of the day, and the end of the week, at the end of my life, I just want to say that I contributed more than I criticized.” – Brene Brown
How are you showing up in the world?
Everyday men and women are putting their lives on the line for the rest of us. Some are in the military; many others are first responders. Sadly, we lost a wildland “Fire-boss” pilot in a fatal crash this week. Juliana Turchetti was here on a work visa, that’s right an immigrant fighting fires on our behalf. She was battling the Horse Gulch Wildfire in Montana when her plane went down. Turchetti was a beloved decorated pilot, author, educator, mom, daughter, family and community member. Remember that people want to help people more than they don’t. Take the time to thank and support the helpers in your community today. How are you showing up in the world?
$100.00: These dollars are being donated to the volunteer fire department equipment fund. I am supporting access to first responders in my community. And I love that!

Turning tragedy into hope for others. What if we can?
One woman created wellbeing solutions that invite communities to take care of their local First Responders who take care of them.
“Kathryn founded the nonprofits called Restoration Ranch Colorado and Valor Vacations, after her husband, Chris, was killed by three robbery suspects fleeing from police in 2020. Vowing that Chris would not die in vain, and that her life would not be ruined by this experience, she turned her attention to serving first responders and their families. It was during this time Kathryn discovered how difficult, demanding, and dangerous their jobs are. She also learned there are critical staffing shortages in first responder agencies in Colorado. Nationwide there is a chronic shortage of those willing to make the sacrifices these jobs require.”
Together we can ensure first responders will be there when you or your family are in need. Restoration Ranch Colorado is making a difference providing places of respite such as vacation or retreat opportunities “free of charge” for first responders and their families. Do you know a first responder, dispatcher, emergency department personnel, or members of the judiciary in your community who need a break to rest and recharge?
Improve the health of your community by sharing this first responder opportunity with others. Learn more here.
First Responders matter. In these challenging times, who are you being and what are you contributing to support humanity? Help the Helpers.
$50,000.00: These dollars are being donated in Juliana Turchetti’s name to the US Forest Service Wildland Fire equipment funds. This money is going towards helping them purchase a new plane for the wildfire fighting season.
$45,900.00: These dollars are supporting Restoration Ranch Colorado.
I am consciously expanding humanity for the world by supporting the mental health of first responders and their families. Everyone can do something to make a difference. Respond to life with love. Repeat. What would it take? What are you contributing to live in a better world in 2024?
$1000.00: for a date with my husband that includes sitting outside together to watch the sun set and enjoy the cooler heat of summer night air. Being together. How loved can you stand it?
FLOW FIVE FRIDAY: Current “real” life expressions of gratitude, love, and contribution to wellbeing.
$5.00: this week’s five dollars were sent to Restoration Ranch Colorado. The address is PO Box 140859 Lakewood, CO 80214. I am choosing to be the energy of what works in life.
Five increments of time: July is packed with listening to children read their summer library books. This week it is Carl’s turn to read a neighborhood favorite, the book is called It’s the End of the World and I’m in My Bathing Suit written by Justin A. Reynolds. I am having interesting conversations with children who are reading books and sharing their delightful perspectives on life. Being there; how does it get better than that? How are you “Flowing Five” this week?
Well-Being: Something that I am doing or not doing for self-care in real time.
I am adding slices of cucumber to my water. The added flavor helps me to stay hydrated in the heat of summer. What are you doing or not doing for self-care?

Hold Space or Contribute to a Friends Life Intention:
This week I am supporting my friend Beth who is navigating the grief of not being able to protect her child from deep distress. One of her living intentions is to be a loving mom with healthy boundaries. One way that you can help support Beth’s living intention is to imagine her being extra kind to herself as she supports her child from the sidelines. See her releasing the judgment dragon rumbles of “what if” and allowing others to support her journey with loving presence. Simple, but not easy. If you can, remember your mom or guardian and either thank them for doing their best when you were struggling in life or tell someone a story about when they supported you from the sidelines of life. Parenting is an emotional obstacle course. Beth is an amazing, loving mother. I wish you could all know Beth as a friend.
Choose joy. Be kind. Love others and strive to be a better human. What would it take?
