Inspiration: Happy Friday!
Today is the 269th Day of 2025.
We have $269,000.00 today.
10% savings = $26,900.00
40% taxes = $107,600.00: This week I am expressing gratitude for these tax dollars being spent to support Sequoia National Park located in the state of California. Sequoia officially became a National Park in 1890. You will find among other wonders the largest tree on Earth called the General Sherman which is a giant sequoia tree, acres of old growth forests, and chaparral grasslands to explore. How will you spend the remaining $134,500.00 today?
HERE IS MY PLAN: Freedom of Speech
“The right to free speech is more important than the content of the speech.” -Voltaire
How are you showing up in the world?
Do you know what the first amendment to the Constitution of the United States says? I am asking because last week Jimmy Kimmel, a late-night television host and comedian, had his show suspended due to some sacred people currently in power testing the boundaries of what “freedom of speech” means to them. It seems that someone in a government-appointed leadership position threatened and bullied others into the unprecedented silencing of Jimmy Kimmel. This week Jimmy Kimmel returned to broadcast his 22-year-old television show because many citizens from all political sides stood up together, called out the fear mongers, and protested the bullying tactics used on network executives.
Do you know what the first amendment to the Constitution of the United States says?
“The first amendment to the Constitution says: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Again, I feel the shifts in universal energies. Patriarchal systems are clawing to control the masses by silencing freedom of speech and other society privileges. Yes, I am confronted with and acknowledge the rampage of fears that are being released by other people. And I also choose to expand my inner peace. Daily I ground myself in love and show up in life with the intention to be kinder. Yes, kinder to myself, kinder to others, and kinder to our planet. Not bypassing the terrible awful that is happening but also spending most of my time focused on both what is working in life and what I can do or be to contribute more love now. How are you showing up in the world?
$100.00: Self-care. It’s time for me to get recertified in CPR and First Aid. I am taking conscious action to show up informed and educated. And I love that!
$0: Priceless: Free Public Land Access
“The meter is ticking (particularly in the face of climate change), so you’ve got to get to as much as you can as fast as you can. I grew up with ‘This Land Is Our Land,’ and public land doesn’t belong to that administration or this one. We want our kids to grow up with real natural places, not just photos of them.” –Robert Redford
Tomorrow is a free day at all National Public Lands. These sites include National Parks, National Forests, National Open Spaces and more. The ongoing theme invites us to collaborate, volunteer and build social engagement with nature for future generations: “Together for Tomorrow.” The National Public Lands Day is also known as the largest single-day volunteer opportunity in the United States. “It celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits.” There are many ways to participate. You can take virtual tours of parks, volunteer to count birds, or pick up litter, or choose one of many other ways to acknowledge the gift of nature afforded by our public lands. How are you serving humanity? Remember that when we help one person, we generate peace for all. How does it get better than that? Do something kind today.
Respond to life with love. Repeat. What would it take?

$133,400.00: This money is supporting the National Environmental Education Foundation. They are the lead organizers of the annual National Public Land events. Nature is a gift that can help restore our human spirits. I am “paying it forward” for future generations to enjoy. $1000.00: This week’s date with my husband includes volunteering together. Volunteering has been a cornerstone of increasing connection in our relationship. We are better individuals and better as a couple when we choose to spend time together on community projects.
How loved can you stand it?
Flow Five Friday: Current “real” life expressions of gratitude, love, and contribution to wellbeing.
$5.00: this week’s five dollars were sent to the National Environmental Education Foundation. The address is 4301 Connecticut Ave, NW, Suite 160, Washington DC 20008-2326. I am choosing to be the energy of what works in life.
Five increments of time: This week I spent extra time in Conscious Conversations with friends regarding the privilege of Freedom of Speech and what it means to us. Being there; how does it get better than that? How are you “Flowing Five” this week?
Well-Being: Something that I am doing or not doing for self-care in real time.
I am reading the first amendment to the Constitution of the United States out loud daily. This is gratitude practice in action. I feel good each time that I speak these words. What are you doing or not doing for self-care?
Planet Awareness: Contributing to the health of Earth.
“Maybe you weren’t born with a silver spoon in your mouth, but like every American, you carry a deed to 635 million acres of public lands. Than’s right. Even if you don’t own a house or the latest computer on the market, you own Yosemite, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and many other natural treasures.” –John Garamendi
Do you know that every fourth grader in the United States is eligible to receive a free Annual Pass to visit National Parks and National Forests. The opportunity is called Every Kid Outdoors. The intention of this offer is to encourage family exploration that creates connections to nature, history, and environmental education. This week I am listening to children read about National Parks and getting excited about going on an outdoor adventure. How are you showing up in the world?
Do you know a fourth-grade teacher or someone who is in fourth grade this year? Send this information forward to others. Learn more here: Every Kid Outdoors
What are you doing for the health of our planet?
Hold Space or Contribute to a Friends Life Intention
This week I am supporting my friend Stacey. Her living intention is to contribute solutions to improve meaningful connections for all of humanity. She spoke at the United Nations this week about engaging people to gather around a shared goal to connect, communicate and support access to functional hope. One way that you can help support Stacey’s living intention is to invite someone to join one of her Do The Thing Challenges. Or gather friends and have a conscious conversation about a topic that matters to you.
Choose joy. Be kind. Love others and strive to be a better human. What would it take?
“Every positive social change we’ve experienced is the result of imagining a better future, organizing for it, and participating in the meaningful struggle along with others who care.” –Alexa Spence
Did you know that we are on track to experiencing the hottest year on Earth? Luckily, the younger generations are stepping up to create solutions. Spence, a psychology professor at Suffolk University who studies climate anxiety in children wrote that she is seeing young people focusing on thriving actions for the planet to leave a better world for their children. Imagine a better future with people who care again.

Hold Space or Contribute to a Friends Life Intention
This week I am supporting Amber, who received her first acceptance letter into a university program for Biochemistry. One of her living intentions is to be a doctor or researcher who discovers solutions for cancer. One way that you can help support Amber’s living intention is to imagine her success finding health solutions for people we love. Or do something kind to support your own wellbeing today. Speak with love.
Choose joy. Be kind. Love others and strive to be a better human. What would it take?
